about

I’ve Got The World On A String is a duo with Jan Steele recorded at Aston University Centre for the Arts in Birmingham in November 1977 and originally appeared on cassette NondoDPLP005 One Music Ensemble. It’s a rather skittish version which Peter Riley dismissed as part of ‘….a side of anti-modernistic jazz and composition’*, while Barry McRae noted its ‘…Monkish workout.’**
